Olympics Fashion Faux Pas Part 1

So the Olympics is clearly about athletic ability and competition, not fashion. However sometimes the fashion just cannot be overlooked!

OK, lets be honest. I'm a chic, I do not mind seeing athletic men half-naked. But honestly, I think the white swim trunks were a little much. Leave something to the imagination. I realize there is black cloth covering the nether-regions, but it just doesn't look right, especially at a quick glance.

Then you have the Swedish team, I believe a runner. For starters, bouncing around like this couldn't be comfortable, could it fellas? Second off... WOW. Does anything else really need be said? Don't get me wrong either, this is not necessarily a good WOW. More of a shocked WOW. He has a pretty face but I noticed that WELL AFTER I noticed other things about the photograph.

This seems to be a trend, through all the sports. Leaving NOTHING to the imagination, that is. The Rowing Team from South Africa (right) accepting their gold, and Denmark with their Bronze (left) wanted to show off other things proudly as well

Is this a new Olympic Sport? Penis Envy? I am beginning to think so.
Stay tuned for more fashion faux pas from the 2012 London Olympics.

The last 7 days.

Today is my first day back to work after 6 days off. My cousin (C) was in town visiting me. I have not seen C in AGES! I am about to turn 30, and the last time I saw her I was somewhere around 12 or 13.

She came to Colorado to visit me and was here from Friday through Wednesday. We did many things, including spending some time in downtown Denver at the 16th Street Mall, up on Kingston Peak in the Rollinsville area on trail 353 in my truck and also in the White Ranch Open Space in Golden for a gorgeous hike. Oh I had better not forget the Coors Brewery as well, such a fun thing it is (free beer!).

It was so soothing and good for the soul it is ridiculous. Between some wonderful conversation and some majestic views, I really could not have asked for a better visit (well, with the exception I would like to keep her here forever!). One of my favorite parts though, had to have been witnessing a thunderstorm all around us while on Kingston Peak.

I feel so invigorated and refreshed after our time together. I feel more like myself than I have in quite a while as well. I am making a promise to myself to not let that much time pass between the next time we see each other. Hopefully I can swing a visit to her in the next year.

Today I came back to reality, work. And boy has it been a doozy. The one good thing, my first day back is also a Thursday. So the weekend is not far at all. I am truly looking forward to this weekend. However the idea of a full work week is a little rough. I am spoiled after 2 weeks without a full 5 days of work.

Ah well, such is life! And boy am I glad I get to experience it.
